This is not a political film. It is a good heart-rending portayal of the experience of POW's in Viet Nam, and well worth watching (lest we forget...)

This is absolutely incredible nature footage. BBC is unsurpassed - even with all the other excellent work out there by National Geographic, Nova, etc. BBC has recently re-released Planet Earth, Life (the newest series) and Blue Planet in conjunction with Discovery Channel. The old versions are narrated by David Attenborough and the new (Discovery Channel) versions are narrated by popular actors and TV personalities (Oprah Winfrey, Pierce Brosnan, etc). This "Life" is narrated by Oprah Winfrey. WARNING: No one (including Oprah) can compare with David Attenborough when it comes to this type of narration. You may want to check out reviews for both(such as amazon.com) before you buy. I have listened to both... the same awesome footage is in both versions, which rates 5 stars, but I would hold off for the Attenborough version.

Beautiful footage. It doesn't stay long at any one location, which may disappoint some people, but does well at giving some great diverse aerial views of of our country. The background musical score and narration was okay... I watched part of it muted in order to enjoy the footage without the talk.

New edition of the incredible best-selling nature documentary with David Attenborough. This is the same set but with an extra disc that has even more footage. If you don't have Planet Earth yet, get this edition.

Great scenic footage, but this is more geared for those who are looking for a visitor's guide. At first I even thought it was a promotional dvd for some of the hotels. The emphasis is on shots of hikers, climbers, rafters, cabins, campsites, hotels, and activities. Valuable information for tourists, but if you are looking for mostly scenic and nature footage (not people and their activities), you may be disappointed. There is an interesting 60-minute bonus feature that covers some of the other national parks.

This is a great set on Sharks that the boys can't get enough of. We would not part with it, but somehow ended up with an extra copy.

A dream collection for all SG-1 fans. The 4 disks of new extra features make it well worth exchanging the old individual seasons for this one. The main downside is the poor packaging - very cool looking outer case, but the dvd's are in cardboard sleeves instead of protective plastic cases.

Superman fans will have alot of fun with this edition. There are abundant special features in addition to the original 1978 movie... including a expanded edition, a number of features and documentaries (they are actually really good!), restored scenes, screen tests (including Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder), a 1951 move with George Reeves ("Superman and the Mole Men"), vinatage promotional footage and "making of" feature, 1940's cartoons, etc. And of course the 1978 movie itself which (in our opinion at least) has yet to be outdone by any Superman before or since.
