Movie Reviews

Visually....not so thunderous
Low-Ranking Reviewer | US of A | 01/05/2005
(3 out of 5 stars)

"ok, here's the concept....take 25 classical musical pieces, edit them down to its most familiar parts, and put some type of visual background befitting the music(with 75 mintues and 25 selections, that's about 3-minutes a 'video'). problem is, a lot of the images accompanying the music isn't very good, appropriate, or exciting. they range from natural scenery, natural diasters, busy crowds, nightscapes, etc. ok, so the electrical storms set to certain classical music is cool...but it doesn't take a genius to figure that out. i'm just saying the visuals could've been much better.

anyway, if you want the unedited versions of these classics, a music cd would be a wiser choice as they are obviously going for a music video type thing here. unfortunately the music cd equivalent of this dvd also features edited versions. overall, i give this dvd 4 stars for concept, music, and price, but only 2 stars for execution and quality. average of 3...which describes this video release...average. still, having this on in the background on your big screen is not the worst thing in the world."
