"I saw Animal Rock 1 at a friend's house. Her children were totally ignoring us while laughing with the children in the school group and singing along with the songs - obviously it was not their first viewing. I checked out the website and found that the kindergarten teacher at my school could also download material to help her use this in class. I've bought copies for my great nieces and nephew for Thanksgiving. The Aunt in Residence."
Great for the little ones!

"My three year-old loves Lucas Miller. He's still a little young to understand the science of it all, but this dvd is an excellent foundation of science even for someone as young as three. The songs are GREAT and so is the animation. We'll purchase more of these as they come out, definitely! Thanks, Lucas Miller!"

"DVD Review
Animals Rock
Lucas Miller
Local zoologist-turned-musician Lucas Miller has been entertaining kids in Central Texas for years with his unique brand of goofiness combined with solid education. His new DVD brings his stage show to your living room, pairing some of his most popular songs with animated graphics and fun, classroom-type instruction. Adults may not appreciate this approach, believing that kids won't want to watch a DVD that's half instruction, half music video. But it works well: the preschoolers who watched our review copy laughed uproariously during the "classroom" sections and sang along loudly with the music. They especially like Miller's silly vocal persona, which is sort of a cross between Sesame Street's Grover and Star Wars' Jar Jar Binks. The accent may annoy moms and dads, but Miller knows his audience and he delivers in spades -- all the while teaching kids about animals and habitats, including the somewhat complicated difference between a cocoon and a chrysalis. It is clear a lot of time and effort went into the production of this DVD: animation and video meld seamlessly during a scene in which Miller and a group of children dance under an animated avalanche of butterflies. The scene is so vibrant that kids watching the DVD may be compelled to rush to the TV to see whether the butterflies are "real". For kids unfamiliar with Lucas Miller, Animals Rock is a fun introduction; for those who enjoy his stage show, it's the perfect bridge between concerts.
