Great For Coaches & Young Players
Roland P | Chattanooga, TN | 04/06/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I purchased this for my 10 year old, who has been playing organized soccer for the last 2 years. After watching this series, she showed immediate improvement in her ball handling skills, passing skills and her overall patience for the game.

I highly recommend this DVD series for any young player, parent or coach who is looking to learn some hard core basics of the sport. The teaching method that was used for this program was perfect. Coach Stone teaches the drills and exercises in real time with 2 camera angles and then Coach Dorrance drills down on specific details in a studio setting. It's a pretty cool delivery that keeps you tuned in to whats going on.

Great foundation on fundementals

"I bought this video for my 15 year old daughter who has been playing organized travel soccer for 6 years. She was able to pick up on a number of tidbits that either had never been discussed with her or she never picked up on.

Even as a former coach there were a few things that I also picked up on. I even found a few things that I had been coaching incorrectly. My guess is that very experienced coaches might find this wanting because it does cover the basics. However, this DVD does a nice job in covering all of the fundementals in both breadth and depth. If I was coaching today I would make the viewing of this mandatory. The DVD resonates with me because even at high levels of youth soccer I see a woeful lack of attention to the basics of the game."
