Well, it's the 1st round......

"I TOTALLY understand that they should of fit the WHOLE battle into one dvd.....BUT they wanted to make more $$$ obviously (greedy f*&s),,,,and the funny part is Eyedea didn't get paid a penny after his win....So tell me who profits? Well,,,,,about the DVD...Yeah of course i am mad Juice, Swan, Rhymefest, or Craig G weren't in it...But actually i was content with the amatuer contenders they put in it,, actually,,,hell no... But the bigger names(Eyedea,Young Zee,Shells, and poor Skandal -haha how many losses now? lmao)did their part..I am glad they did a appearance check and didn't put goofy skater kids with surfer accents (hence Scribble Jam 9's Franco, Okwerdz, & so many others)and tacky tongue-twisting nerds into the battle. Yeah i can complain,,,,,,,but the vocals were 100% clear...the camera angles were magnificent,(opposed to low-budget battles films...aka HipHopBattledotcm) The contenders are actually a TAD bit better than the kids in Linden Ave, BK .....So yeah although they should of fit the whole battle into one DVD...It was aaaight yo....i can't complain....Eyedea was worth both purchases and revives the true battle fashion i was raised with (little jokes/ dumb celebrity references and just pure mic wielding). Buy both discs if you got $$ to toss,,Nuff said.."
What an atrocious lie.

"This DVD purports to be "HBO Blaze Battle - Round 1," with the blurb on the back going on and on about hip-hop culture, KRS-ONE, Doug E. Fresh, and so on. In fact, they list as special features "KRS-One: live performance," behind the scenes footage, &c. Don't listen - the entire Blaze Battle consisted of three rounds, and took about an hour. This DVD only has 34 minutes of footage, including the intro, credits, and KRS-One's introduction of the emcees. All in all, there's 16 minutes of real battle footage here. Not to mention that there are only a few freestylers in this battle who are even half decent; Eyedea, Shells, and maybe one or two others - the rest are trash.

I also find it unbelievably suspect that they make no mention of the eventual winner of the tournament - Eyedea, of Rhymesayers Entertainment - or his current career and touring schedule. The makers and promoters of this DVD are obviously out for one purpose - to make a quick buck. This is a bargain-bin, $5 (at best) DVD, *not* a $15 feature."
I'm quite the angry customer

"I purchased this item today thinking it was the entire Blaze Battle, as I had seen it on HBO and was fully aware of the length of the actual program. I got the DVD and tried to skip to a particular Eyedea battle that I was waiting to see and noticed in the scene selection it wasn't there. Thinking this was just some mistake I fast forwarded the entire DVD trying to find it and after about 2 minutes of fast forwarding the DVD stopped. There is 16 minutes of battle footage on this dvd, the actual show had right at 30 minutes. This is completely unacceptable that a company would break this up into two parts and mislead consumers into purchasing them both. I've got movies twice the length of the actual show on DVD and a company sees fit to split at most a 2 hour DVD into 2 discs sold seperately? That is ridiculous and I feel horrible about wasting my $15 dollars on this."
Are they serious?

"The HBO broadcast of this battle was what, about an hour long? How can they chop the presentation in half? It should have been the whole battle, extra features like interviews with some of the emcees, and things like that. Marketing at it's worst, just trying to get us to buy 2 dvd's when the whole show was only as long as 1/4 of a dvd's capacity. Whoever's idea this was to split them like this, should be ashamed of themselves. I was going to buy this, I saw it on HBO, but I watched it at a friends house and couldnt believe that they only put half of it on the disc."
