Movie ReviewsWalt Disney Pictures' Benji The Hunted - Available on DVD Lee Neville | London, ENGLAND | 08/04/2005 (4 out of 5 stars) "Benji The Hunted is the one Benji movie presented by Walt Disney Pictures. Benji's creator Joe Camp is still on board.
It tells the story of famous movie dog Benji who is lost in the wilderness. While he is being searched for and trying to find a way home himself, he comes across a family of young cougars- he witnessed their mother being killed by a poacher. Benji takes it upon himself to take care of the cougars and protect them from the dangers of the wilderness. Along the way, Benji re-encounters the hunter and has to deal with some very big cats. The natural filming of this movie is very attractive, and Benji is a true hero. The directing is appropriate for this kind of movie, and for a nature-related film that could quite easily seem slow and long, it actually goes the distance at a nice happy pace. Benji The Hunted is currently not available in U.S. stores or on amazon.com. However it is available in the U.S. if you know where to look for it and want it bad enough. After all, it is a bit of a classic. And I have the good news you need. Benji The Hunted is available in the U.S. exclusively with the Disney Movie Club. The U.K. DVD edition is in Dolby Digital 5.1 and widescreen. (Available from amazon.co.uk)" |
