Excellent bio

"I'm an art instructor at a local college and wanted a good video of Pollock to show my students. This biography was well done and accurate. I know the students will enjoy it.

Great DVD for those with ADD

"If you love frenetic film making--split screens, three second sound bits, spinning photographs, rapid zooms, synthesized music, fragmented story lines, etc.--this may be for you. I personally found the editing so inappropriate that it actually distorts the subject matter. The filmmaker appears far more concerned with show-casing their own genius than with creating an appropriate and thoughtful style for exploring Pollock's. Though "Jackson Pollock: Love and Death on Long Island" is far less slick, its overall mood and pace seem far more appropriate to the events of Pollock's life."
