The SEVERED ARM is an intriguing early 1970's horror film with a minutely interesting premise.. A group of middle aged guys go to explore some local caves when they become trapped. Time goes on and no one rescues them and they're afraid of starving to death. So, they draw straws to see who will give up their arm to feed the rest of the group(yes, really!). One guy is unlucky enough to be the one. They cut off his arm, eat it and 5 minutes later they are all rescued (W H A T !).
Years later, the surviving group members are killed one by one in grisly fashion. Several character actors round out the cast with good performances but the payoff of the movie in the second half is not as good as the initial plot set up.
Could have been better....great premise.....bad movie.
