Simon sez

"Carly Simon was first recorded as "Simon Sisters" along with her sister, Lucy. Mostly folk and cutsie, and of a time, early mid '60's. Carly then recorded on her own with a couple of top 40 hits, "That's the Way I Heard it Should Be" and "Anticipation". Two LPs and distaff James Taylor type singer/songwriter.
"No Secrets" was Carly's third LP, released in 1972. This LP is historic, a moment in time that describes burgeoning expression of female adult sexuality/passion with an anxious/eager poetry that would not have been played on radio prior to her breakthrough. This LP/CD has the huge empowering hit, "You're So Vain", and the tender "Loving You is the Right Thing". This CD goes a long way for guys trying to figure girls.
This DVD A CD is exemplary of what 5.1 sound can do. The vocals are out front, clear, and wondrous. The backgrounds stand tall, the east and west fill the rest. This is why we love!"
WOW!!

"I purchased this DVD Audio awhile back and have only been able to listen to it in two channel stereo, but WOW! There is a BIG improvement in the sound quality compared to the regular CD (even the HDCD). The sound is super clear. I wish they would do this to some of her other CDs - especially "Playing Possum" which doesn't have as clean a sound reproduction as her albums do. The disk also includes photos which show on your tv while the songs are playing. Many of which I've never seen - and I've been collecting Carly stuff for 25 years."
THIS is what a 5.1 recording SHOULD sound like !!!

"When you pull it out and play it a LOT,that's your first clue. Carly's angelic voice shines in this format, and the engineer must love her as much as I do.
Recommend HIGHLY."
