TOP DOG
MICHAEL J. BENKOVIC | Steelton, Pa | 07/06/2005

"Why oh why can't Cory and Danny swallow their pride and get back with Chuck, his voice is still terrific, this concert is great, he is the TOP DOG, his band is great, the bass player his son looks like Colin Farrell, it's a trip watching him play, wondering if it is really him??, anyway, Chuck mentions Cory and Danny many times and shows pictures of them. If you've seen the Three Dog Night DVD in Tennesee, Cory and Danny NEVER MENTION Chuck or show his picture, it's like he never existed. It's a shame !!!, Chuck is the bigger man, went thru hell and is back in the game, with his family. God bless him, A real THREE DOG NIGHT reunion would be FANTASTIC, and the DVD would sell MILLIONS I'm sure, there are Three Dog Night Fans all over the world. So Come On Cory, Danny and Chuck, let's get together, my brothers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Chuck Still Has THE Voice

"The Live And In Concert dvd is 90 minutes surrounding a January 2004 Negron concert. There's footage from the rehearsal and sound check, backstage banter, and of course, the actual concert. Former Three Dog Night drummer Floyd Sneed makes a welcome guest appearance on "One Man Band," while Negron's young daughter Charlotte Rose offers a nice change of pace when duetting with dad on "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," but wears out her welcome when she hangs around to chime in on Three Dog Night's "Celebrate."

Throughout the dvd, the filmmakers attempt to visually spice up the concert proceedings. "The Show Must Go On" and "Eli's Coming" for instance, includes vintage clips of Negron singing that song with Three Dog Night alongside the new solo concert footage, while the video for Negron's solo hit "Soul To Soul" is interspersed with the concert performance. My favorite moments are when we see Negron performing in concert now without any fancy filmwork, as on the Three Dog Night classics "An Old Fashioned Love Song" and "Pieces Of April." As Negron is in fine voice, his band performs tightly and offers awesome harmonies, and the concert was filmed with multiple cameras that provide loads of quick cuts, the gimmicks weren't necessary. People who expect some state of the art technology in their dvds though will surely enjoy the multiple screen image and picture within a picture stuff.

Make sure you check out The Chuck Negron Story companion dvd as well. It's a great look at Chuck's roller coaster life and is also available from Amazon for the same great price as this concert dvd."
The Real Three Dog Night

"First, Chuck Negron is Three Dog Night. The DVD captures Chuck at his best. His
voice sounds great. I was there in 1979 at Captured Live at the Foruom. They were are their peak. Chuck was the lead singer. He has since cleaned up his act. Second,
I recently saw Three Dog Night, 7/16/05 that was comprised of Danny and Cory.
They need to clean up their act. They were good but lets face it they can not sing
Chuck's songs. There were the backup harmony with Chuck out in front. If you want
the real Three Dog Night buy Chuck's DVD. You will not be disappointed It looks and sounds great. Once again Chuck is Three Dog Night. It is time for Danny and Cory to make up with Chuck. Both the Eagles and Loggins and Messina made up. It is time for Three Dog Night to make up. By the way I just saw Loggins & Messina and it was 1975 all over again. They were outstanding."
Viva Negron! The Voice of Legendary Three Dog Night!

"Recorded in 2004 to a live audience, Chuck Negron was able to produce and direct this very fine DVD creating a powerful evening full of joy achieved through the music of legendary band Three Dog Night. It's nice to hear his fine voice once again and knowing that he has a beautiful family, all there that night to enjoy his testament to America's history of Rock N'Roll music. This DVD has fine camera shots and edition, and its also recorded quite well with 5:1 Dolby Pro Logic, eventhough its outside jewel case and initial video introduction does not reveal that. And Amazon is offering a good price deal on this excellent DVD, so go for it. Ah, yes, and play it loud!"
