Movie Reviews

To the point, basic, simple straight forward information
Lena, LMT | Nassau, NY | 10/26/2007
(3 out of 5 stars)

"This is about bottling up anger & letting it out on others, passive aggression, aggression & normal assertiveness that is neutral & fair. Simple things that are in many self-help books & other places. By having a couple in the room, Jef seems to be quicker & to the point & with the couple showing how to speak effectively over her being upset he doesn't call when he said he will makes Jef's time very short. This end exercsie is great way to show how good communication can become an argument or power struggle. By the husband making excuses instead of just validating what she feels, he negates her worries which is how the defensiveness happens & power play comes in.
This is a nice short lecture by Jef as well as his others, but at only 37 min, 62 dollars is crazy. I would say this was worth ten to fifteen dollars for such short content. I found this at a rental place online.
I give it this many stars for the good information & good presentation, though low production value, but it really could be longer with more in-depth information."
Assertiveness DVD Amateurly done

(2 out of 5 stars)

"Information is useful but presented poorly- boring, poor presentation skills. Would not have purchased if i had known how amateurishly it was put together."
