This is an excellent movie for kids 2yrs to 6yrs old. An attention holder to say the least. a wonderful movie about Connie & her adventures. It's about friendship co-operation and love. In the first skit connie and friends are making a swimming hole to cool off from the summer heat. My granddaughter watched this movie many. many. many. times. She sill occasionally watches it but now she says
'it's too babyish for her" She is 6 yrs old. A good movie for the younger children boys and girls alike. The annimation in this movie along with the wonderful colors is absolutely great.

Delightful characters, whose stories teach more of life's im | USA | 01/06/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Connie the Cow is such a delightful character! In addition to her old friends, she introduces her newest friends who are just as sweet...Snooze the turtle, Stork, Grouch, Belinda the Goat, and more! The 6 episodes included on this DVD are: "A Hot Day," "The Race," "Hide & Seek," "The Vain Bird." "Connie & the Stork," and "The Lucky Stone." What's wonderful about these stories, is that each one has a moral. For "The Lucky Stone," Connie learns that if you really believe in yourself, you can do anything. In this story, Connie believed that a stone was a "lucky" stone, and that when she wore it, she could do whatever she set her mind to. But when she found out that the stone is just a stone, she realized that she still had the power to do anything she set her mind to. The other stories teach other life lessons that are necessary for children to know.

After each of the adventure stories, there are Discovery Games for kids! These are short activities that further help children learn. Your children will enjoy these fun learning puzzles, and you will too! Each one has something in common...they teach children.

Not only are there 6 wonderful stories included on this DVD, there are other special features! Besides the five Discovery Games for kids, there is a section titled "Our Time for Grownups." This section contains "tips and activities designed to heighten the learning experience for your child." For each episode, you'll find discussion points, tips, and activities related to that episode. What a wonderful addition to the stories! Parents can get ideas on what to discuss with their child after they watch an adventure story, then they can do an activity, and find additional tips. This is certainly much more than just a DVD! highly recommends this DVD -- besides containing a wealth of information and learning for children and their parents, the characters and backgrounds are very colorfully drawn in simple shapes and patterns that are appealing to young children. The simple animation doesn't overwhelm young minds. This DVD uses delightful characters to teach lessons in fun ways. Parents are sure to love the Connie the Cow series as much as their children will :)!"

"My daughter used to watch this video all of the time (she's now almost 6). She came across it again last month and wanted to watch it again and still said she liked it. It's very cute."
