Movie Reviews

Cotton Patch Gospel Musical
Joseph T. Lillevig | 02/04/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"We showed this at a Sunday School party and everyone loved it. Most of the time we were in stitches. You will get more of the lines if you know the Bible story behind it but this would also be a great introduction to the gospel story for those who don't know it. Very highly recommended."

"This was a great production and the musicians are amazing. Chapin's lyrics/music are perfect for the story line. You will laugh, cry, and feel your heart leap with this dvd."

"I had seen this production put on by a high school group, and was entranced by it then. This professional version is even better. It tells the story of Jesus in a modern-day "Southern" setting ... The very unexpectedness of the contemporary settings hook your heartstrings and make you listen to the Gospel in a new way.

The only thing I wish I could change was the quality of the video - not as great and clear as some others - but the production and music make it well worth buying.
