"The list of musicians in this CD is top notch, from the well known to the master musician respected by his peers and little known by the public. From Israel Lopez "Cachao", the original composer of the song "Club Social Buena Vista" to the charismatic Patato Valdes, whom most people don't know was the first to use multiple sounding congas and also invented the use of the english wrench to tune up the congas without having to warm them up. The songs are tributes to these men, and they play their hearts out. Jose Fajardo passed away recently, this was his last recording, he leaves a legacy of over 30 albums to his credit. The ages range from 56 (JP Torres, who arranged and produced) to 83, Cachao and Fajardo but these guys prove they still have the talent that made them famous and play with teenage enthusiasm. I have thouroughly enjoyed the CD. I hope you do too!"

"This CD is a "must have" for all collectors of Cuban music. The players are the original musicians from Cuba playing for the world from Little Havana, best known as Miami, Florida. Their music is what makes us Cubans have this passion for life; it moves the blood in your veins, it makes you want to conga all night long. This music is so fantastic that it turns your world around and all you want to do is party and dance. I play it in the car and lower the windows in traffic, and the car next to you starts dancing with you. Listen to number 10, "Sonando los Cueros", and if you don't dance to that beat, you must go to the doctor. I can picture the "chancleteras" dancing to the beat of the "cueros". My favorite, number 4, Chocolate, is absolutely fantastic. The piano and the danzones are splendid. The Santa Cecilia makes you want to cry. I hope they make the DVD soon, because if I enjoyed listening to this cd so much, I am sure watching them is even better. I am so proud of our original Cuban Masters."
