"This is for the DVD ASIN B0006A9TCE titled Midnight Sun.
Midnight Sun was a live celebration on July 11, 2004 of the Montreal's International Jazz Festival 25th anniversary and the Cirque du Soleil 20th anniversary. The show was performed in downtown Montreal surrounded by 200,000 spectators and contains a mix of Cirque du Soleil (70%) and Jazz performance (30%). I watched that performance when it was broadcasted live that night and was amazed at the quality of the broadcast. When I saw it lived, it lasted 2h20 minutes but had a lot of dead moments allowing for commercials. The DVD is 100 minutes (including the encore which is contained on a separate track) which makes for a more continuous and crispier presentation. The DVD includes pictures from the evening and a series of commercials for other Cirque du Soleil DVDs, website and membership club.
The performances on that evening are from existing Cirque du Soleil shows, with the favorite Alegria song ending the show while the Cirque manages to involve the downtown spectators by sending a huge, huge beach ball on the crowd.
It was an incredible evening and I'm glad it is released in Anamorphic format, with 5.1 Dolby Digital sound. I strongly recommend it for fans of Le Cirque du Soleil."
A Magical Night with the essence of Cirque du Soleil

"Midnight Sun was an unpredicted event that Cirque organized in the streets of Montreal for there glorious 20 years under the sun. This great Night was performed before 200,000 canadians and presented to them some of cirque du soleil's most memorable moments. What this DVD is worth buying for is the Music, aw the most enjoyable music there can possible be, not only is the music performed live but it was remastered, "remixed", and changed by a bitifull brass band, a DJ, an orchestra and a wild number of Computers, it also contains great acts from cirque and some new ones that will really impress anyone. So if you Like CDS music(and the acts), you will NOT be dissapionted with this, it includes titles like Emballa, El Pendulo, Birimbau, Mer Noire, Oscillum and more!
So I really recomend this title, not only for a Cirque fan but for people who enjoy good music and a good spectacle-concert."

"I'm sure that I won't waste my time to watch this film again. It is noisy and not very artistic!"
