"While this dvd has some spectacular still video, I find the (and I quote here) "hypnotic sounds of pan flutes, rattles, rain sticks, and pow wow drums" to be extremely soothing. This DVD is an ambience setter. Add some candles and you're in the zone 3 (1 awake 5 asleep), turn it down and you're hittting 4.5 (and that's with insomnia); however I wouldn't say that this music is boring in any manner. The change in instrumentation, not necessarilly speed or sudden volume keeps it entertaining.Features:
1) Audio Track Selection: a) dobly digital, b) dts (dts sounds exquisite on this disc)
2) Video Stills: Great Stills, I don't think I could watch them for too long because the crisp visual stimulation contrasts with the relaxation of the dvd
3) All audio is contained in a single title with multiple tracks so setting title repeat is all one need do to program a loop.Issues:
1) Silverline seems to be experimenting with their packaging. I was happy with the normal cd size version I received, but the odd alternate size seems awkward andI hope they produce the normal cd size.
2) Autoplay at highest audio format would be a good enhancement as the user would merely need to switch 'tracks' to change encoding. If you have no 'new age' then this is a must buy."
