Pete Wernick has an easy-going teaching style with a little "goofy" humour thrown in. He starts off at the very beginning--how to tune your banjo and finishes showing you how to pick (that's a banjo-type pick) a simple tune putting in all the extra notes that make it a "bluegrass" arrangement. In between, he shows you all the familiar rolls and shows you how to form chords. He plays them very slowly at first and then speeds up to show how they should sound. The split-screen views show both hands in close-up so you can clearly see what he's doing and can follow along. I recommend this DVD to anyone wishing to learn to play Bluegrass Banjo"
