"Since Amazon was totally negligent in posting absolutely NO information on what was contained on this DVD set, based on the cover photo and title, I thought I was ordering a 4-DVD set of David Bowie performances from the Space Oddity era.
Instead, this "Collector's Edition" turned out to merely be a repackaging together of some documentaries already available seperately on Amazon. They are: 1.) Rock Milestones: Ziggy Stardust (1 DVD) and 2.) Definitive Critical Review : David Bowie (3 DVDs).
The first 3 DVDs feature interviews with Angie Bowie and surviving Spiders Trevor Bolder and Woody Woodmansey, as well as plenty of filler from the kind of unknown "critics" who frequently populate these kind of cheaply-made "critical reviews".
The final disc of "Definitive Critical Review" is a complete waste of time, as it is a "Classical Tribute" to Bowie. This means that your favourite classic Glam Rock Bowie tunes are shamelessly reduced to pseudo-Classical muzak pap by an old geezer at a piano and his *yawn~* string quartet. How they thought this type of fare would be palatable to us rock fans I'll never know.
So anyway, since it was nothing like what I was hoping to get when I ordered, back to Amazon it will go.
Hope I've warned you well enough so you'll have a better of idea of what you'll be getting if you do order this.
Buy at your own risk."
