Response to technical critique

"After reading some customers comments about the difficulty with the first run of the DVD, I called my distributor Terra Entertainment. Carlos Solorio assured me that they have reprogrammed the DVD to include a menu portion so that customers can easily navigate the material. Thank you for bringing this to my attention and if you would like a replacement copy of the DVD, please email me personally and I get you one. In additon, all DVD's have a language selection of English or Chinese. If your DVD does not give you a choice, please contact Terra Entertainment or the place you bought the product from to replace it. We will be adding Spanish and French, hopefully in the next year.

Never out of date

"This can never be out of date! It is classic, traditional, ancient chi gong to t'ai chi. It is the best and wisest, most thorough instruction I have found yet, and I have been learning chi gong and t'ai chi for 6 years now, from dvds, books, videos, and numerous live instructors and classes as well. Ms. Modaro is a wonderful instructor, and so down to earth and approachable-feeling. She also has the deep knowledge and background of a true master. I thank her in my heart every day."
Amazing content - poor video quality

"I originally bought this in VHS back in the day. I was so happy when I found it on DVD, as I was looking for years. I just bought it and received it. OK, so here is the deal with this DVD set....

*The Package:
Came in a light Brown Malena Envelope, (not a box). It was left "under" my doormat and I almost stepped on it before walking in my house.

*The Case:
All 4 DVD's come in a single case. Not the best setup. I was hoping for individual cases. The holders/snaps/prongs for each DVD is a bit cheesy / inefficient. Shorter than your typical DVD case from Blockbuster Video. You really have to force / snap them in, "on top of the other". It seems that even if you snap them all in hard, two will always come loose. This will scratch the DVD's over time. It seems over time they will be scratched just from each DVD laying on top of each other while force-snapping them in place. I recommend to back up your purchase by ripping them to an ISO or AVI file, and/or burning them back out to a blank DVD in fear that over time, the original's will be unplayable due to scratches on the DVD.

*The DVD's:
Each DVD has a picture of the individual cover shown above. This is a plus as other DVD set's has no picture and a generic silver blank DVD look.

*The Quality:
Horrible! It seems someone ripped the original VHS to a DVD in their basement. Grainy, lack of color and just plain 'ol poor video quality. It actually looks like you are watching anolog VHS. But, hey - you're not buying this for the video graphics quality are you? You are buying this for Chi Gong training, (see below for details on the content/training). Due to the lack of video quality, I gave my review 1 less star.

*The Content:
This is why I bought this DVD set - for the content. The actual training for 8 Treasures Chi Gong is simply amazingly impressive on a most positive level. The content is almost indescribable, (but I will try my best). Anyone at any age can do this. If your totally new to Chi Gong and Energy work, this is the best training you can find. If you are into energy work, this can enhance your studies and training in a big way. The content is what you make of it. You can go through the motions and gain major benefits, (health, happiness from being in balance, mobility, fixable, chakara enhancement, focus'ness, etc., etc.) . You can enhance this training with energy work and become one with the universe, knowing and feeling that all of creation is connected and everything is "energy". It's totally up to the user as far as what the benefits will be. Either way, anyone will benefit from the training. This training from these DVD's, I can honestly say changed my life in a most impressive and positive way. I am honored to have had the opportunity to learn from Linda's training DVD's. One gets a spiritual hard on and orgasm when you get into this - it's hard to explain - try it - you will not be disappointed.

*The Bottom Line:
I recommend purchasing the DVD's and glad I have the series on DVD, (as no one has a VHS anymore - that went out right after 8 tracks, :) I gave this 4 out of 5 stars. The content = 5 stars. The video quality and case quality = less 1 star."
