Great dog training DVD for anyone!

"Brilliant! This is a great video for anyone who wants to train their dog. We inherited a dog from our daughter when she couldn't keep her after moving. Of course, she wasn't trained, but we fell in love with her. Walking her was a nightmare, she just pulled until you were exhausted and she just didn't listen in general. Cindi's methods were so easy to follow in the DVD and easy to implement. I was amazed at how quickly my dog could respond when I was trained how to train her. What a difference! Cindi's pace on the video is so easy and relaxed and then great demonstrations were given so you can put the whole lesson together. Also great behavior tips in the bonus features. Barking, chewing, jumping, you name it..."
Disappointed

"This was obviously scripted, but the trainer seemed like she didn't bother to read it over before filming because she would speak very slow and pause at unnatural places in her sentences. I thought it wouldn't be such a big deal, but it got to be so hard to follow what she was saying in one sentence that after 5 minutes my mother and I (who were looking forward to this DVD since we ordered it) had to turn it off.

And like someone else mentioned, she only used her own trained dogs in this video. Which would be ok if I ordered a video of dogs just doing commands, but it would have been nice if there were some untrained dogs in there as well. As in "this is how it should be done" with her trained dogs and then "this is what it will probably be like for everyone else with their untrained dogs" so people at home could have an idea of what to do when it doesn't go exactly right.

There are some good tips in here somewhere, like the food praise as well as the verbal and tactile... When I have the patience and maybe some headache medicine I'll try to finish watching the whole thing."
Great Tips and highly informative

"I found the DVD to be very helpful because she actually addresses situations we go through everyday with our dogs. I like how Cindi steers clear of filling the DVD with "Dog Tricks" and other methods that don't necessarily apply to real world situations. I have a Boston Terrier that made walking the dog feel more like "pulling the owner" and this DVD helped me solve that problem. I also like how she added F.A.Q's and bonus tips. If you are looking for a solution to your everyday dog problems that can be accomplished with positive and gentle praise, this will do just fine."
Dog training DVD Review

"This DVD is not near as helpful as "train your dog" which is availible on Amazon.com. The lady on the video looks like she is reading off notecards and is not a very good speaker. I think the dog was already trained also, and she didnt use a variety of dogs. The other DVD mentioned above is 100 times better. They use un trained dogs, are freidnly, and use all different breeds. The only good thing about this DVD was the menu layout. This DVD only has about 10 commands, and the other DVD has about 30."
