The high rating reviewers lied badly. This is horrible and picture and sound are terrible. I fast forwarded and could not even find a sound I knew since the singing and music was so badly done to include editing. I looked at the back cover and found the one song I know and Dokken botched that one up as well. I would have given this a 0/5 but the lowest was 0.5/5. Do not waste your time with this.

Awesome George Lynch-era Dokken (electric) show!!!
10/12/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is an essential purchase for any/ all Dokken fans. There are 16 tracks, NOT inc. some excellent bonus material. After a very good (albeit slightly uninspired...?)start of some "Tooth and Nail" (etc.)-era material, the band REALLY gets cooking from track 5 onward...SMOKING is more like it! The band is in amazing form from this point onward; sensational. My favorites? "I Will Remember" (smokes the good version from "One Live Night"), "Alone Again" (moving vocals by Don), "Mr. Scary" (George Lynch for Guitar God!), "Long Way Home", Shadows of Life", and "Unchain The Night"...but they're all great. What can I say? BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
AWESOME DVD

"I reviewed it here because I'm so P.O.d at how long I waited to get it because of the few bozo's who gave it a bad view here and there on the net.
I just got this DVD today. I think it's awesome and I loved it!
I had shied away from it because of some bad reviews. People said bad video quality, poor audio.
THIS IS COMPLETE BS! PEOPLE!!!!
I'd like to backhand the bozo's who gave this DVD a bum rap!
What did they expect a live concert to look and sound like an MTV video??
Man the sound was SOOO!!! Good!! They were tight you couldn't slide a piece of paper between them.
George's guitar sound was incredable. Whoever engineered the sound is to be commended I've never heard a live perfomance sound so crisp and detailed! Man I could hear the freakin' sound system's faint hum between songs it was so detailed. They were even kind enough to have fill monitors down front for the front row people so they could hear the entire mix!

The Japan audience was as I had heard, they actual go to a concert to listen to the music so guess what? You can hear the music and not everyone yelling their head off.

It was a smaller size arena pack to the roof. And the video quality is just fine! Again what did these critics expect in 1995 for it to be filmed it in IMAX or somehing??

If you been thinking of getting this and the reviews made you back off wait no longer. I am so glad I ordered this. I never got to see them live and have never seen George live. If your a fan then you need this in your collection.

Pluses, the acoustical break down in the middle AWESOME, I got to see "George's guitar take on a life all it's own" as I have heard can happen, on I Will Remember.

My only cons, some of the old tunes the backup vocals were a little pitchy, but the new stuff? Some incredable vocal harmonies going on. Probably due to the extra attention on the newer material. Don looked like he was feeling a bit off maybe, he seemed better in the From the Sun promo in the Bonus features on the DVD, He did not look fat as one review I read said. Where do these people come up with comments like that??

Bottom Line an awesome DVD to add to your collection and the bad reviewers must be Knack fans. Now go get a copy.

Great audio, great song selection, average video quality

"This dvd is not bad at all. Sure the video could have been better but this is probably the only dvd you will find the band play electric on. The songs from Dysfunctional sounded better on this than the studio versions. In fact the band sounds better on here than most other versions I have heard. The harmonies are great, Don hits those high notes and George Lynch plays Mr Scary live along with Mick and Jeff being really into the songs and not just playing along. I admit you can tell George Lynch is not into this one like in the past. I have read this was more of a business tour for him and doing it as a job more than as a band effort. At the end of the concert the band go one way and he goes the other. But being that it is George Lynch the playing is going to be good just not inspired.
This is somewhere in the middle of Beast From The East and the newest Live dvd Live From The Sun. The audio is great, video is ok and the song selection was very good. Like many I wish they would play Burning Like A Flame live but have heard that Don has a very hard time with that one and it is not likely you will hear this in any version other than the studio version.
Overall this is an essential dvd for the Dokken listener.
