"Having listened to Pink Floyd a zillion times, my ears are always open to fresh interpretations of Floydian music. You could say that I'm an enthusiast of Pink Floyd cover bands. I have to admit that when I first heard of reggae meeting Floyd, the idea sounded terrible. I reluctantly purchased the "Dub Side of the Moon" CD due to the glowing Amazon reviews. Since that time, I've found the Dub Side of the Moon to be one of the most satisfying Pink Floyd tribute projects. Most tributes phonographically copy the original band or fall embarrassingly short in the attempt. Both types are dull. In comparison, the Easy Star All-Stars crafted a powerful reggae interpretation with tones of dance hall and dub. This is heavy psychedelia that features something old and something new. Since I heard of this as a live project, I've been crushed that the Easy Star All-Stars haven't made their way into my neck of the woods. No longer. Now I can enjoy this 9/15/05 show at home. Fortunately, the performance is far from a note-for-note rendition of the album; there's improvisation that keeps the music fresh. The audio quality is excellent and while the editing and picture quality is generally good, there are a few rough moments. The disc has a variety of audio options including 5.1 surround sound. The bonus features include a making of the album and some pre-show views of backstage and the street. If you enjoyed the "Dub Side of the Moon" album, you'll like the DVD just as much. As long as you dig live music, roots reggae and Pink Floyd, this DVD will take you to the Dub Side of the Moon and back!"

"ok first to review here. If you like Dub Side you need to add this to the collection, I have seen the band twice and picked this up at their rain soaked NY show last month. While concert DVDs are never as cool as being there, they do a great job of getting you into the mood with the cool animation segments and a great audio mix of the show. This also has some nice behind the scenes footage. Now does this sync up to the Wizard of Oz Cd???"
