Very dissapointed

"The product desciption is very misleading: first, the picture on the DVD cover is a female instructor, but actually the whole DVD is demonstrated by a male (that's not what I want!); second, again the cover pictured is filmed in a beautiful bay, so I thought this DVD was just like another DVD instructed by the same person "YOGA FOR BEGINNERS", which "was filmed on location at one of the most beautiful, tranquil beaches in the world, Half-Moon Bay, Antigua, which adds to the overall experience of tranquility". But actually this DVD was filmed in a small empty room (so boring background!) Thirdly, since I lost my remote control and this DVD couldn't move fast-forword by pressing the buttons on the DVD player itself, I have to watch the boring interview with the instructor before I could see the real workouts!

Misleading but good routines

"the first reviewer saved my bacon so to speak on this! I have 'power yoga for every body' which the last line in the editorial review says this is from and it IS demo'd by a guy (a skinny one at that!) with her voice. for the price I would find that dvd which has a lot more routines than the 5 described on this one because the routines themselves are good IMO if you like power yoga that is held a bit instead of lickety split fast(not really for me at this point though I do intend to try some more of the routines from power yoga for every body). the setting is indoors in a very drab and boring room. however, if you're just wanting a few routines to select from and/or can't find the 'original' dvd then this is still good. I gave it only 2 stars because I feel it's very misleading to use that cover with the beautiful scenery, esp when her other 2 new dvds are excellent and filmed at a beach (highly recommend her beginners one and stress relief ones!). I wish she would've redone these with herself demo-ing the poses! THAT would've been worth adding to my collection!"

"Very good for beginners. Has good introdructory interview and allows progress at your own pace."
Great for progressing in your practice

"I love this DVD! Barbara Benagh does a wonderful job of explaining the asanas and talking the student through them at a very practical pace. If you can't do everything she instructs today, you will someday soon if you stick with it. Her long experience as a teacher shows itself over and over again as she gives you just the right instruction at the right time along the unfolding of the pose. This helped me keep from possibly injuring myself on several occasions. I have used my fair share of yoga tapes over the years and this is the best by far, hands down. Thanks, Barbara!"
