The first season episodes are self contained, though there is also a story arc that runs throughout the season -- the hunt for the elusive "Laughing Man".
It's serious anime; while the antics of the Tachikomas provide some mild comic relief, the show touches on philosophical matters as well as issues about identity and society's lust for technology. " |
