Movie Reviews

Warning about previous review

"Given that reviewer F. Sison seems to only review products from Ventura Distribution, and seems to give 5 stars to products that other reviewers give 1 star and describe as "unwatchable", I would recommend taking his recommendation of this product with a serious pinch of salt.

I'm told that this release is a repackaging of the old Hong Kong films "Don't Fool Me" and "Century Of The Dragon". These films have NOTHING TO DO WITH INFERNAL AFFAIRS, and anybody expecting a similar experience is sure to be disappointed. Given Ventura's track record, I would expect these to be poor quality releases of the films too, and most likely unlicensed.

So, buy the set if you want, but be warned that you may not get what you expect."
Blood,Guts,Bullets and....comedy???

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Well the packaging does promise that the stars from Infernal Affairs and there they are together in the same film.
Unfortunately it's not the intense quality of Infernal by any means.
It's a triad comedy with leading men Andy Lau and Tony Leung along with Anthony Wong showing the lighter side of Triad life.

The second feature is not bad with Simon Yam and Andy Lau letting off some decent gun play and the plot is not too shabby.

Stand out in this package is the bonus features which include short films, interviews with both leading actors, music videos and behind the scenes pieces.
They are quite good and lift the overall product.

So I give it 5 stars as follows-
1 star for Gods,Gangsters,Gamblers
2 stars for Triad Affairs
2 star for the bonus features(which are really good)
