Member Movie ReviewsReviewed on 5/3/2012... My daughter loved this dvd. She watched it over and over. It is suited to the 3-5 age group in my opinion. 1 of 1 member(s) found this review helpful. Reviewed on 8/7/2011... We thought it was a bit hard to follow, and our 1 1/2 year old had no interest at all in it for some reason, although she loves Hello Kitty. But the series of Hello Kitty Stump Town, with the characters being Pixar-like, we all LOVED that DVD. I wouldn't bother getting this one, but do try to get STUMP TOWN HELLO KITTY series. 1 of 2 member(s) found this review helpful.
Movie ReviewsThe very essence of cuteness! Sanrio Fan | 04/07/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "This DVD is cute and funny at the same time! Hello Kitty and her friends on putting on shows for the school play and they act out (and take a modern day spin on) five different fairy tales including Cinderkitty, Kitty Locks, Kitty and the Beast, Sleeping Kitty, and Snow White Kitty and the One Dwarf. I am a "grown-up princess" and still laughed out loud at this fun, feel-good set of cartoons. Definately recommended!" Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater comes to DVD! Sanrio Fan | 06/23/2005 (4 out of 5 stars) "The cartoons are from the 1980's Hello Kitty tv series "Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater," which are variations on popular fairy tales/movies. They feature Hello Kitty, My Melody, Tuxedo Sam, Chip, Catnip & Grinder, who are actors in the theatre. Each DVD contains 5 fairy tales, and each fairy tale is about 10 minutes long and has its own unique take on the familiar stories. They are also changed to be less violent, nicer and more suited for children (water balloon fights instead of guns). The quality of the DVD's are more like TV broadcast quality and this is the reason I've given it 4 stars instead of 5. I think they could've enhanced the quality before putting it onto DVD. It is also not recorded in stereo sound. I already owned the 2 Furry Tale Theater VHS's (Kitty and the Beast, The Wizard of Paws), so I already knew what to expect. I'm an adult Sanrio collector and I loved seeing these episodes, and I would feel good about letting my children see these too. The following is the list of the episodes in this DVD: "Hello Kitty Becomes a Princess" has Kitty and the Beast, Snow White Kitty and the One Dwarf, Sleeping Kitty, CinderKitty, and KittyLocks and the Three Bears." Young girls should love it Sanrio Fan | 01/27/2004 (4 out of 5 stars) "My 3 and a half year old daughter loves this Hello Kitty series, especially this particular one. What makes this a good purchase is that these stories are very G-rated and harmless. The best word to describe it is "innocuous". These retelling of fairy tales are watered down so that they won't scare the young ones too much. And because the overall plot of the story is that these characters are just putting on a play, it's one more layer removed from reality."
