"My five stars include everything including The Price/The Quality of the discs and packaging and the animated series it's self. I HAVE ACTAULLY BOUGHT IT WHICH THE OTHER REVIEWER OBVIOUSLY HASN'T.
THEY MADE 40 EPISODES IN TOTAL. 13 in 1994 and 27 in 1995. AS PROOF, Go to google and put(HIGHLANDER ANIMATED TITLES AIR DATES) Which will make your first result into the site I am talking about. Ignore the other review and read my comment about him. But to cut it short, he obviously hasn't bought it and yes the plan originally was to release season one only but before we reached the official release date, they changed their mind and decided to release it all at once for such a good quality price. He is obviously stuck with originally information and not final official information.
If you are a person who saw lots of modern action and science fiction cartoons on TV in the mid 1990's then this is for you. Like Spider-Man 1994-1998/X-Men 1992-1996. The story continued in every episode like a continuing saga and revolved round the character's own real life, not some public job or automatic superhero against villain job. The Characters act very realistic in comparison to 70's/early 80's series. The animation is also incredible top quality just like Spider-Man 1994 and X-Men 1992 if not a bit better. It was made in france like most 1990's american science fiction cartoons were which partly explains the improved quality."
The animated series is finally back!

"This series is such great fun! The Highlander, SwatKats and the brilliant (but rare) Wing Commander (animated with cat-like beings) are always a pleasure for the adult cartooner to watch.
The Highlander is a series for any age and offers not only entertainment but also messages of honor and courage.
If you're a cartooner of any age, I recommend The Highlander for your collection anytime
"
Great series, but "incomplete"

"The series is the complete series, sans a real final episode. There isn't an ultimate showdown between the hero and the antagonist, and it kind of leaves you hanging. The Highlander doesn't meet every Jettitor, and a lot of loose ends are left dangling. Otherwise, the series is EXCELLENT. Though, there are a couple of clips which are used over and over, and the voicing on the part of some of the intermittent characters is a little off. I STILL watched all four discs the day I bought the box set!
I SO wish I could see the final showdown."
