Melanie C. from GROTON, CT Reviewed on 7/8/2010...
Just so you know, this is NOT the Grinch everyone remembers from being a kid - it's the book on film being read to you. Total disappointment if you're expecting the classic cartoon.

DON'T BUY THIS VERSION!

"This is NOT the one! This is more horrible than home video and is so poorly done it should be removed from circulation as it confuses the buyer into thinking it is the cassic animated video. You will be sorry if you buy this! Get the other one."
Not what I wanted!!

"I was in a big hurry when I ordered this and didn't read the reviews--I'll never make that mistake again! THIS IS NOT THE VERSION YOU KNOW AND LOVE FROM TV. It is just a reading of the book, with the original illustrations, and is much less fun-- the Grinch is meaner, there are none of the hysterical interactions with his poor dog and there's NO MUSIC. What a disappointment."
Beware - this is not the version you are familiar with!

"Yes, it's the Grinch, but an old one. No songs, jerky animation etc. This is an old version of the Grinch who stole Christmas; not the one that you are probably familiar with that is regularly shown on TV. Just a heads up!"
Not what it appears to be.

"This video is not the classice animated feature. It is a collection of still photos, captured on video, with a voice over."
Not an Imposter, just the original.

"No it's not an imposter, just the original version of the book, stills with narration. If you want the real thing make sure to get the 1966 version with Boris Karloff doing the Grinch and narration. I enjoy both versions very much and have both versions on tape although the Boris Karloff is by far my favorite. Merry Grinchmas!"
