Movie Reviews

Very informative, yet interesting

"I am surprised at how hooked on I got onto this rare DVD. Judging by its cover and its limited availability here, I didn't think it would actually be so interesting and informative. I thought...oh what the heck...$20 isnt much. This DVD has extra features such as "Behind the Scenes" & "Travel Guide" in addition to the 3 separate 50-minute topic programs (Wildlife; People; Climate changes). This documentary film features the 2 poles, North & South, and shows how different they really are from each other. Alaska, Northern Canada, Greenland, Norway, and the Antarctica are all covered here. Photography is great, anything from featuring the wildlife and different people's cultures, to plainly breathtaking views of these 'unspoiled' parts of the world. You get quite a lot for the money you pay for. I mean...3 different topics, 50-mins each...you can't ask too much for it. In addition, as I mentioned, some extra special features definatley makes this disc worth the buy.
This DVD is based out from New Zealand, therefore, it may not as easy to get here in Canada (or maybe the US?). I've bought it from a store here and this was the only copy. The disc is ALL-REGION, in which I could play it on my North American NTSC DVD player.Recommended for any Polar fan, or anyone who is interested in learning more of these 2 poles and the areas that surround them!"
