Rock and roll served blistering hot with an adrenaline chase
Loren West | Philadelphia, PA USA | 06/22/2005

"On "Kiss My Blood" Iggy Pop proves he is, without a doubt, the greatest frontman in rock and roll. He is exactly as I remember him when I saw him in New York at the Academy; wild, rude, lude, untamed, electric, maniacal, frantic, focused, ferocious, and completely over the top. Say what you want about Whitey Kirst, The Trolls are a great backup band and Iggy himself has never been better than he is right here. This DVD has it all (including blood letting and full frontal nudity!). I will 4ever treasure these killer versions of classic Iggy tunes like; Search and Destroy, Lust For Life, I Wanna Be Your Dog, Loose, Dirt, 1969, The Passenger and others. The newer material off Brick by Brick kicks ass too. If you love rock and roll served blistering hot with an adrenaline chaser it doesn't get better than this! I would give it 20 stars if I could!"
A must-have for any fan of Iggy Pop.

"This video was filmed in Paris during the European leg of Iggy's 1991 "Brick By Brick" tour. This is truly a tour de force performance by Iggy and his band. From the technical side, the video is also excellent. Both sound and picture are first-rate. But the reason to buy this video is, of course, the peerless presence of Mr. Pop. He proves once again that no one in the world of rock n' roll even comes close to his performing ability, and that he deserves much more praise than he receives. For those who are unfamiliar with Iggy's work, this video will be an eye-opener into what performing on-the-edge is all about. For Iggy's fans, this is, without question, a must-have video. As you might expect, the language is quite rough in places. For the most part though, it accords with the sincere emotion being emitted."
Hard To Find, But Worth The Cash!!!

"Until the arrival of "Avenue B", this was arguably the best video document of Iggy Pop in my collection. Recorded during the "Brick By Brick" tour, this show features one of Iggy's best bands in recent memory. Primarily because of the killer lead guitar of Whitey Kurst. Whitey rips through ever lead from Ron Asheton's to Williamson's effortlessly. This is a great ProShot show with 10 out of 10 soundboard quality audio. If you are an Iggy Pop fan you owe yourself this dvd and I gurantee you will not be disappointed. But....until you can find it, definitely drop some cash on the new "Live At The Avenue B". You can pick it up for around 10 bucks on zShops. "Avenue B" has a slight edge "video" wise over "Kiss My Blood" (due to technology). But from a performance standpoint, the two are dead even. Long live Mr. Pop.
*****By the way, there is a import dvd release available titled, "Iggy In Paris ", which is the same video as "Kiss My Blood". Don't let the mistaken date of 1977 fool you. It is the exact same show. Quality is almost as good at a much more reasonable cost. Recommended! *****"

"!!!PARIS ATTACKED BY WHIRLING DERVISH!!! Next best thing to actually being there! Iggy and Co. destroy the Olympia with a set list that exposes the decadance and destruction of Mr. Pop's "high-test" career. Super-Charged, Frenetic, Lush and Sexy eye- candy!!"
