"I really enjoyed this video. It seems like it was filmed recently (2002?) at the Miami Winter Music Conference where most of the artists interviews occured. Great stuff with Derrick May, Juan Atkins and other big time artists and DJ's. I produce locally in Florida and this was as enlightening as some panel discussions I've been to but for about 1/10th the cost. The tutorials on the 2nd video are pretty darn good. As opposed to most instructional DJ DVDs that exist today and focus upon turntablism and scratching (BTW Get Qberts video if you want to learn to scratch - there is no DVD that even comes close -save your money and go with Qbert - you won't be sorry) this DVD focuses upon club DJ skills, mixing, beat matching, using the pitch fader, eq'ing etc.If you are a working DJ you already know what's on the second video. What is worth the money (even if it was 1 DVD disc) are some of the interviews and comments by the biggest stars in the industry."

"This dvd isn't one of those bad titles with cheesy menus and some kid walking around with a camera. The director took his time to interview lots of different house and techno DJs to get a wide range of really good advice. At some points there is almost too much information, but I'm glad they decided to error on the side of telling us everything instead of just brushing over stuff. Nigel Richards is really funny on the DJ tutorial disc, and there's a lot of good other parts. Great dvd if you want to DJ or at least figure out what it's all about. Sweet!"

"If you are thinking about becoming a DJ, or even if you have been DJ'ing professionally for 10+ years you will find this DVD set extremely interesting and informative. Excellent interviews with lots of insight into the REAL world of DJ'ing. The tutorial section even manages to be very entertaining while covering everything from the most basic to advanced DJ skills.
Over 5 hours long and every minute is worth watching."

"After being into the "techno" scene since my first party in 1993, this is one of the best videos I have seen describing the DJ feelings. You really get a feel for how a DJ thinks. If you at all interested in the DJ lifestyle or are interested in DJing this is a must have. It have great insights in the minds of some of the best DJs around. Plus Nigel Richards does a great job with the "How to DJ" part. Not only is this for the "newbies" but for those who have been around a bit. Plus he makes learning fun with his comments and body mannerisms. WOW that sounded like an infomercial."
