Movie ReviewsShe's Come A Long Way 05/30/2003 (2 out of 5 stars) "This is a Kylie-in-Concert DVD that is strictly for die-hard fans. The DVD runs about an hour in length and features Kylie sometimes singing, sometimes lip synching (and sometimes forgeting to), and bucking across the stage in truly atrocious outfits (it was 1990) during her first ever world tour. The backstage antics (of which there are plenty) are cute and slightly reminescent of an article in 'Smash Hits'. The actual concert feature modest production values and Kylie is backed by cheesy dancers with jazz hands permantly splayed, but Kylie, as always, is adorable and having a great time right along with the audience. Watch this DVD, then pop in 'On a Night Like This-Live in Sydney' followed by 'Kylie Fever 2002' just to see how far the impossible princess of pop has come." A Young, Unpolished Kylie Performance Andre LeBlanc | North Dakota | 09/16/2004 (2 out of 5 stars) "I would recommend this DVD only for those loyal fans looking to complete their collections. The most important "flaw" about this concert is that it is lip-synched. And, as another reviewer pointed out, sometimes she forgets to. The sound quality is mediocre, as is the level of audience enthusiasm. On top of that, Kylie doesn't have anywhere near the energy or polish onstage that she has today. The choreography is very basic and not very inventive. The show just isn't very fun to watch. I would highly recommend purchasing her other 3 concert DVDs before this one. They are much more reprsentative of the modern day Kylie Minogue experience." Kylies first tour live from japan 1989!!! Mr. S. W. Mcanulty | uk | 05/11/2005 (3 out of 5 stars) "well as a huge fan id give this 3 just for being kylie but the sound as people say is not the best! what most people need to know though is that kylie actually sang this tour totally live (like she always does), and there was a live show version on australian tv many years ago, but when they brought it out on vhs- they dubbed over it with the studio vocals!they also used footage from many different shows, even abit from london ! would love to find the proper live version, but this is cool anyway! she sings i should be so lucky live though, but as you can hear- the actual sound system used in the arena sounds crap and dosnt show just how good kylie can belt out hits live (as in "on a night like this 2001", "kyliefever2002" or "body language live 2003") good nostalgic factor though and cool old footage backstage! cant wait to get the awsome "showgirl" on dvd later in 2005!" Kylie Doesn't Sing on this DVD! Reijo Piippula | Turku, Finland | 02/19/2007 (2 out of 5 stars) "I have to say at first that I love and apperciate Kylie very much but this DVD was a big diasppointment. It seems that the record quality is pretty poor both music and picture and it seems that she isn't singing either...it probably comes playback. The reason I give this DVD 2 stars instead of 1 star is that Kylie looks beautifully and is happy all the time...also there's some great dancers. She moves her lips very good but sometimes it seems that she forgets to move her lips. "Made in Heaven" isn't sung...she doesn't even move her lips...they're just dancing. Although this is bad quality I think this is almost a must for real Kylie fans because it is what Kylie was in the beginning...she didn't sing in this concert but she has made a long carriere...there's been filmed better concerts like "Live In Machester" and "Live in Sydney" as well as "Body Language Live".
