Great DVD

"The bad:
The first thing you notice when you put in in your DVD is that the sound quality is cristal clear (5.1 surround decodification). The problem is that this kind of sound is too clean for a live performance... they've manipulated the sound in a way that sounds like the albums... Just the bonus songs sound really like a live performance.

The good:
The DVD image quality and photographic treatment is excelent. The camera makes excelente panning and close ups, alternating shots from the public, the band, and details (like the double bass drum)Beleive me, it doesn't get boring to see the entire concert. The theme selection is okay, it covers the best songs from Kreator, but I still can understand why they included a real boring song like Black Sunrise. This DVD aslo include a selection of the Kreator videos with diferent qualities but as a bonus is perfect.

DVD content:
1. The patriarch
2. Violent revolution
3. Reconquering the throne
4. Extreme agression
5. People of the lie
6. Lost
7. Coma of souls
8. All of the same blood
9. Phobia
10. Black sunrise
11. Pleasure to kill
12. Renewal
13. Servant in heaven King in hell
14. Terrible certany
15. Riot of violence
16. Terrorzone
17. Betrayer
18. Flag of hate (bonus)
19. Tormentor (bonus)

Special features:
History 1982 - 2001 (videos)
1. Toxic trace
2. Betrayer
3. People of the lie
4. Renewal
5. Lost
6. Isolation

10. Violent revolution"

"Yes!! Not only does Kreator toss out a superlative live album, but they accompany it with an equally excellent DVD. Rapture!Shot in several spots around the world, this film highlights Kreator's powerful live presence. After starting out as a remarkably young trio on the "Endless pain" album, they have become somewhat less aggressive while gaining impressive technical skills. However, it is on stage they truly deliver the goods. A slight exception to this might be new Finnish lead guitarist Sami Yli-Silviö, who, while certainly comfortable onstage, doesn't really appear to be much of a thrashhead. His old outfit Waltari was never that hard anyway and, seriously, what kind of thrasher wears leather pants and high-heeled boots? Having said that, he's a great guitarist, and that is what counts here. The rest of the band, especially the giant drummer Ventor, gets a real workout, energizing the already powerful songs to get that extra edge.I do miss certain songs, but all the classics are in place. Additionally, we get some music videos in the bonus section; I'd rather that they had played "Toxic trace" live, but as it is in the videos' section, I remain reasonably happy. Also, unlike many Kreator fans, I liked the "Endorama" album, and thus enjoyed the two videos from there as well. Finally, it is nice to see that old heroes like Candlemass' Messiah Marcolin and Dark Angel/Death's Gene Hoglan are still alive and kicking alongside new heroes like Arch Enemy's Angela Gossow, all of whom appear in little segments between songs. With only one disc, this is just about as good as it gets. Of course, nothing is ever perfect, but this is sooooo close. Five easy stars."

"As a long standing Kreator fan i was thrilled when finally the first proper Kreator live came out. The livesection of this product absolutely kicks ..., although the sound quality isn't as superior as in the recent Slayer DVD. But still this totally rules. Mille is his good old self with his trademark aggressively hostile vocal performance. The song selection is great, covering every album(check out "Flag Of Hate" and "Tormentor" - off the "Endless Pain" - album) ecxept "Endorama" which i took more as a joke. Nice effect in comparisong to other bands DVD:s is the black and white visual effect which is used from time to time to add Kreators gloomy and darkly aggressive music. The Music videos are to my opinion quite useless and the history part is just a collage of which albums are released and band member changes. I Recommend this as a companion to the new Slayer DVD War At The Warfield. Personally i would have gived this 4,5 stars 'cause it isn't perfect. But hey! The finns are represented here(Sami Yli-Sirviö in the guitar) ..."
Missing coma of souls video, but still good.

"when i bought this dvd i was pretty anxious to see it. but i was a little let down by the live material. it has exellent sound and video, but the band is often bored looking. i usually love live shows but in this dvd the music videos are really better. these guys still kick major ass though. i really enjoyed the history part of the video where it shows early footage of the band on television with ventor (drums) singing. i would have really loved it if they had included the whole performance. another thing i noticed upon later viewing was that although the dvd claims to include all of thier music videos it is actually missing the "coma of souls" video. but all in all this is a good dvd. and worth the money for the price. hopfully another video will come out with older footage like that tv appearance some day."
