Studio music is fine, but the live experience has something more immediate and personal and intimate. Comparing listening to the CDs to my recent experience of a Tinariwen concert in NYC this February, this band really gets into the music when performing. The leader/lead guitarist Ibrahim loses himself in the music in concert as he doesn't or can't in studio recordings. Totally fine."
