Movie Reviews

Wonderful Story
C. E. Lunn | TN USA | 10/23/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This movie was made in our town. Fayetteville TN It had the biggest turnout I have ever seen for a movie. The line was so long it stretched out all around a block and back again. There was going to be two performances. However the movie theater was kind enough to put on six. half of the proceeds went to the Animal Shelter here. Which was very kindly donated by producer and studio, in appreciation for the participation of the town and its people. The movie is wonderful, a great family movie, showing what a family working together, and then the townspeople working together can do to save a wonderful dog, that had become a local character from cancer, in raising money to pay for his treatment."
Heartwarming

"I stumbled onto this film while changing channels this morning and was instantly hooked.
For the reviewers who gave a negative review I say shame on you. One didn't even leave the film on long enough to give it a chance and the other was simply offended because it wasn't religous enough. Well I'm sorry, I dislike people who use religion as a basis for negative views, this is the wrong place for it and only shows a narrow minded view of the world.
This film shows a group of teens pulling together to raise money for a loved dog, something most adults won't even do and it shows that not everyone is jaded. It deserves credit for compassion and a true willingness to work together for a positive outcome."
Adorable Movie

"I read the bad reviews on this movie and having just watched it, I thought I would throw my opinion into the mix. I too am a conservative Christian, but I found this movie to be a wonderful change from most of the Hollywood-made animal/family movies with big stars in them, (it has no profanity). Yes, some of the characters are too sassy and mouthy at first, but they are kids learning to do better, (and they do improve as the film moves along). In my view, few modern parents do a better job of patience and love mixed with firmness and discipline than the parents in this film.
The greatest thing about this movie is the way it role models what happens in a family and a community when people get their eyes off themselves and learn to sacrifice for a greater good. This movie touched me very deeply. I loved it!"

"For the Love of the Dog

What a great movie, fun for all ages. I really enjoyed this movie & would highly recommend it. It has the same corny ending but still fun."
