Don't be fooled by the cool "Transformers" style cover art on this one...I saw this flick on SyFy Channel a while ago under the alternate title "Iron Invader," which by the way would be a great name for a heavy metal band (or a marital aid). A Russian satellite crashes to earth in a small Idaho town with a creepy alien bacteria on board. The bacteria thrives on metal, so when a pair of yokels bring the satellite pieces to the local scrap yard, it uses the surrounding junk to re-create itself as a gigantic killer robot thingy which starts stomping around town killing random people. Needless to say, predictable low budget mayhem ensues. It was nice to see Canadian scream queen Nicole De Boer again, but other than that this movie felt more like a special FX company's "demo reel" stretched out to feature length. If you dig SyFy channel cheez, have at it, but everyone else can steer clear.
