Movie Reviews

GLORIFIED FAN FILM
J. Cook | Buffalo | 11/25/2005
(2 out of 5 stars)

"I am a fan of fan films, and very lob budget productions. However, even after watching this and giving the director/producer props for the effort, I found this movie to be pretty horrible (and that is being compared to other FF and LBP). Compared to the director's other films, Demon Summer being one of them, the film sill falls flat.

The acting is of course bad, the characters are bad, the story is bad. The blood, well, it's LB and pretty alright for what we are dealing with.

However, I did laugh alot with this film. The gay couple was a riot, and at the end when his paperclip chainmail armor saves his life---classic.

Only buy this if you can get it used for under 2 bucks, also check out Demon Summer--which was an alright film."
A wonderful riot!

"If you are as tired as I am of the new fad to remake Hollywood classics, then you will enjoy a truly unique movie such as this! Everything about â?~Midnight Skaterâ?? is a wonderful riot. Plot twists, teen-age zombie burnouts, & great special effects make this a movie to watch over & over. I look forward to purchasing more titles from this film crew."
What A Huge Waste Of Time!!

"I didn't expect Midnight Skater to be this bad. It actually sounded kind of good, but when I watched the first three minutes of the movie, I knew it was going to be garbage. The deaths were so stupid and cheesy. Why would someone have sexual intercourse with a headless woman?? It's really, really stupid.

Also, the zombies have nothing to do with the storyline, and we know who the murderer is the entire time, which is really bogus. And I thought the murderer was the midnight skater, but obviously the skater isn't because the murderer is scene, and the skater skates right by him.

Aside from the very confusing and weird plot, the movie looked as though it was made by high schoolers. The director, Luke Campbell, starred in the movie, but he doesn't look anything like a college student. The quality was atrociously poor, and very disappointing.

In retrospect, Midnight Skater was a very bad movie. It's a waste of time and a waste of money. Seriously, don't buy this movie. It will disappoint."
This movie is a horror/comedy classic! Read on for why...

"Anyone who goes into this movie expecting it to be serious, you probably are going to hate it. But if you go into this for just a fun horror experience, it is great! Think of it like this, it has everything: tons of gore, skateboarding, hardcore music, drugs, references to Dungeons & Dragons, zombies, etc. It is ultra low budget and the acting is over-the-top horrible (which makes it so good), and the gore is outrageously bad (again which makes it so good). The dialog is totally laughable and the plot thin, but it's a fun horror movie that had me laughing my a$$ off. Basically, I can sum it up like this: Midnight Skater is so awful, it should be a cult classic. For the low price it's selling for through Amazon Marketplace, the gore-hounds should pick it up and give it a shot..."
