A Brief Meditation on Grief

"Rob pours out his soul in "Matthew" as he speaks about grief and the loss of one of his friends. In general, this is a tough issue for people of any age to deal with. Rob particularly talks about the importance of dealing with our grief and loss by expressing it versus holding it in. He also lets us know that if we don't deal with it at the time we are feeling it, that it will come out eventually at some other time and in some other way. He reminds us, as well, that we deal with grief in different ways and that is fine, because we are all different.
I have not used this DVD in a teaching setting at this time, as I have not been in a situation that warrants this. But I think this is an important topic that is avoided, overlooked, and at times poorly dealt with by the church and by people in general. Overall, ths Nooma series is an excellent teaching tool for young adults and older teens. Go pick them up for your youth group or young adult small group."

"If you want to see a Nooma, this is a great one to see. It deals with death and trajedy in our lives in a very moving, very caring, very poignant way, better than anything I've seen. If you have never heard Rob Bell, you will find him an excellent, compassionate person with a heart for the truth about Christ Jesus. Highly recommended."
