Absoltely Brilliant

"Now that Oscar is no longer with us how reassuring to know that the mantle of great Canadian Jazz Pianists is carried by the marvellous Oliver Jones.
A retired semi-professinal Pianist myself, I have long admired the playing of this Jazz Giant so I was delighted to receive this DVD - and what a DVD it is!
Ably supported by Norm Marshall Villeneuve on drums and the hugely underrated, but brilliant, Bassist (Dave Young is up there with the very best, Ray Brown, Neil Pederson, Ron carter et al) Oliver just sparkles on Piano. Scintilating technique, wonderful jazz 'feel', gorgeous tune selection, great sound and camera work - a truly memorable one hour concert. AND the enjoyment doesn't end there!!
A bonus extra to end all extras - a two song duet with Oscar Peterson. Absolutely Brilliant! It couldn't get any better. Buy it.
