Movie Reviews

This is the version of the concert to get!

"First off, it is a great concert and if you like Poco, the Eagles, CSNY, America, etc. you are going to like this.

There are two versions of this concert on DVD, but this is the one to get.
Why? Superior sound! The single DVD version ("Keeping the Legend Alive" by another DVD brand) has all the same extra footage (interviews, photos, rehersals) but on a single DVD. Thus, to save DVD space to accomodate everything, the stereo track is a compressed Dolby Digital track (not a good thing, all things Dolby are not great). On this version, the extras are moved to a second DVD, and the concert has an uncompressed LPCM soundtrack. I know because I have both versions and this one sounds noticeably better. The single DVD version does come with a cd of the same concert. But this 2-DVD version is the one with the best audio!

But it is the great music why you should buy this!"
A good time

"I've been a fan of Poco since the early 70's when the radio was playing the Fools gold/c'mon/Rocky Mountain breakdown medley. By then they were an established band with several albums. If you are a Poco fan you should not be disappointed by this DVD. Rusty, Paul, and George are joined by founding member Richie Furay. The production values are first rate with great audio and video. The songs chosen are mostly from the earlier years, but that was fine with me since that was my favorite period, although I would have liked to hear a few from the blue & grey album which was not represented at all. Rusty's voice sounded a little strained at some points but not enough to make a difference, even strained his vocals are better than most (I don't hear as well as I used to either, so it may have been me). If anything Paul's voice is better than I remember and I remember it as very good. Richie Furay was a pleasant surprise, as I was not expecting to see him. Poco fans should be very happy with their purchase."
As good as it get after so many years.

"The group Poco (add Richy Furay founder-retired) is live and at thier best. The only way I would say it could change not better just different, would have been to add Jim Messina and Timothy B. Schmidt. That I would pay a lot to see and have. Rusty Young and company have a great act and should continue for more years to come."
Love it live

"These guys still have it! Gray hair, less hair, more.... but STILL sound great. A very enjoyable way to spend an evening with friends (as long as you have a good sound system hooked up to your video.) I would recomend to anyone who enjoys POCO or any other country rock artist."
