Don't Rehash The Ones From The 75th Anniversary Edition...Ho
Simply SAX2C! :^) | Gary, Indiana USA | 09/07/2005
(3 out of 5 stars)

"I see now that KOCH VISION has released the 75th Anniversary Edition in smaller sets. That's fine if you don't want to go for the 75th Anniv. with three disks. I hope these folks (KOCH) are listening...there were 220 of these 1960-61 cartoons done. The best ones are the ones that were directed by Seymour Kneitel (I would really love it if they'd come out with a DVD of the Harveytoon Cartoons with Herman & Katnip, etc.) The passable cartoons are the ones by Gerry Ray, Larry Harmon, and there is one other producer. The ones with Jack Kinney directing are a smirk, (I just don't care for them) if you can muster up even that! By far, the Seymour Kneitel produced cartoons are the best ones, and I believe that only the Jack Kinney produced cartoons outnumbered Kneitel's Paramount Crew, with Jack Mercer/Carl Meyer. How about a DVD Of Popeye with just Seymour Kneitel/Gerry Ray/Larry Harmon ones produced? Besides, Winston Sharples music scores in the 1950's-1960's were widely least by those who grew up watching them. I've even gone as far as talking with some people over at KOCH ENTERTAINMENT about resurrecting the other's hoping! :^)"
