"Sorry to disappoint Little Rascals fans looking for a bargain. This two-disc set from BCI (aka Brentwood) is more of a bowser than Pete the Pup. Take it from someone who bought the collection.

More than half of these comedies are silent, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The problem is all here are SEVERELY edited! Example: "Bear Shooters" starts with the kids climbing into their mule-drawn wagon for a camping trip. The previous footage of Spud, Mary Ann and Wheezer at home with mom is GONE as is some business prior to everyone's departure. And so it goes with the rest. Further insult: video quality is pret-ty bad.

The "extras" are no great shakes either. A "Hollywood Hall of Fame" documentary gets duplicated on both DVDs, as do text-only bios of Alfalfa, Buckwheat, Spanky, Butch, Jackie and Mickey.
