This is quite the hidden gem for the oldies song live by the actual artists. A two-hour PBS special. A must watch!

Rock, Rhythm and Doo Wop completes the set.

"Having enjoyed the other two DVDs (Doo Wop 50 and Doo Wop 51, I was thrilled to buy this one to complete the set. The three DVDs cover just about all of the original Doo Wop groups who were performing around the turn of this century, many of whom are still appearing at special shows to this day.
This DVD includes a few Rockers as well - Little Richard, Bobby Lewis and Frankie Ford but for me the absolute highlight is the performance of Little Anthony and the Imperials. Little Anthonys voice is as good as ever and the groups harmony and stage presentation is as perfect and professional as you will see. Great to see Fred Parris and the Satins, the Fleetwoods and Larry Chance and the Earls - all still in good voice singing the songs we loved so much.
So many other groups perform at this concert and all are absolutely fantastic. As an added closing feature, most of the artists that appeared on the two previous DVDs are shown briefly and it makes you realise what an amazing gathering of 50s/60s music history these concerts were.
Absolutely essential to own these three DVDs.
