Movie Reviews

The masochist said, "Hit me" and the sadist answered, "No!"
Annie Van Auken | Planet Earth | 04/12/2008
(3 out of 5 stars)

"SADISTIC SINNERS is another half dozen rancid rambles into the darker side of the human soul. Highlights here... well... there's none, really...

Now, if you hated "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" and other such "humans interact with 'toons" films, you hemoglobin fiends just may find "TERROR TOONS" more palatable. In this one, two deranged animated characters pop off the TV screen and right into the midst of several unsuspecting teen partyers. The murders that ensue can best be described as "goretoonish."

Winner of the "Best Original Title (and little else) Award" goes to "AUTOPSY: A LOVE STORY." This one's the touching and sensitive saga of a mercenary ghoul who peddles for profit the body parts of homicide victims, overdosers and other such croakers.

No horror movie collection can be complete without at least one that features a teen couple in heavy black eyeliner, blood-red lipstick and Pillsbury Flour pancake makeup. In this case, we have "GOTH," wherein our creepy kids take part in orgies, mutilations and other character-building activities.

If you'd like to know about the other three films in this set, you'll probably have to see 'em yourself. I'm too grossed-out right now...

MAXIM MEDIA's "Pendulum Pictures" horror films are distributed exclusively by MILL CREEK ENTERTAINMENT. These movies are a throwback to the early '60s type of drive-in theater gorefests that were once popular with teens. If you're looking for big-budget state of the art special effects and top rank actors this series may not be right for you. Fans of murder, mayhem and maniacs will not be disappointed by this little collection, however.

For another sadistic six pack, check out PENDULUM's MORBID MUTILATIONS. Filmed in gore-geous krapnocolor.
