"I was able to see the beginning of the Selena Vive in Univision and I really loved it but I was not able to see the whole thing. I went online and saw that they were going to have the dvd I was so excited that I pre-ordered the dvd. But when I got the dvd through the mail, I was so disappointed because they only had 9 singers of the original 20 singers that performed that night. What a rip off!!!!! Do not buy this DVD, if I could return the dvd I would."

"It is not the original version of Selena Vive! concert on 7th April 2005. EMI changed the live songs, and mixed the studio and the live sounds, and put into the DVD.
Don't buy it!"

"I watched this concert and loved it. Even though I understand very little spanish, it was wonderful and had me crying. I wanted to buy it so bad, but after reading the reviews here I will not buy it. If it is not the entire show that I watched on TV then I do not want it."
Concert was great, but the DVD is a letdown

"The much anticipated DVD is a letdown. For me, some of the best performances were left out. Attending this really great concert April 7 was an incredible experience for me. Some of that is captured here, especially the duo of Aleks Syntek and Fey and their creative remake of Donde Quiera Que Estes, Alicia Villarreal's very soulful Si Una Vez, India's heartfelt salsa rendition of No Debes Jugar, and Thalia's fashionably playful opening number, Amor Prohibido. Many of the best performances, AB and his Kumbia Kings update of Baila Esta Cumbia con Selena (the most riproaring of the night), a moving rendition of No Me Queda Más by Pepe Aguilar, Paulina Rubio (Fotos Y Recuerdos), Ana Barbara (La Carcacha), Olga Tañón's salsa reinterpretation of La Llamada, Bobby Pullido, Graciela Beltrán (El Chico del Apto. 512), Grupo Montez De Durango (their duranguense version of Ven Conmigo), Banda el Recodo (Techno Cumbia), and Mariana Seoane's romantic duet with Pablo Montero (Buenos Amigos), all were omitted. Their absence from the DVD is a major disappointment. It was upsetting also because these other artists illustrated different musical styles and and almost unexpected interpretations of Selena's music (norteno, tejano, hiphop, mariachi). Even the climactic finale, with all the performers accompanying Selena, including and Selena's old band Los Dinos, is nowhere to be seen. On the upside, the DVD gives us all a chance to see upclose and personal some of the tributes and excitement that filled Reliant Stadium and seen by so many on Univision. As a gringo Selena fanatico, I already have the Selena videos placed on the DVD, and would definitely have preferred the above omitted performances included instead. It would have been an even greater memorial to the girl from Lake Jackson who continues to conquer our hearts with her vocals and her warm and humble personalidad."
