A Highly Stimulating Lecture on the Threat to the West
JamesNYC | New York, NY USA | 08/31/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"One reason to take Herb Meyer's warnings about the threat to the West seriously is the fact that he was one of the few voices who predicted the collapse of the Soviet Union.

This DVD consists of a lecture by Mr. Meyer, a former Vice Chairman of the CIA's National Intelligence Council, on the threat to the West posed by radical Islam, moral decay, and declining birthrates. There is not much to this video visually, other than Mr. Meyer talking, but what he says is highly stimulating and thought provoking.

Mr. Meyer's perspective is a conservative one, and I can't say whether or not it would be of interest to those on the left of the political spectrum because I'm a man of the right."
Incredible overview of our current cultural struggles...

"Herb Meyer has hit the nail exactly on the head. We Americans have never experienced the type of "siege" that we're experiencing right now... from without and from within. The stakes are high-we're in a battle for the survival of Western Civilization (defined by Meyer in this lecture).

It's not a Demo-Repub battle. It's much deeper than that. As a pastor, I plan on showing this to my congregation. This is a "must see."

Herb Meyer and his clarity of thinking
Randall E. Parker | Greenville, NC | 10/20/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Any person serious about understanding why the world is as it is today needs to purchase this DVD "The Siege of Western Civilization." In fact, you can label this work "required" or "a must see" if your intention is to know what we are up against, how we got here, and what we can do about it. In a friendly and sincere presentation that reveals uncommon clarity of thought, Herb Meyer lays out the case for why our entire way of life is threatened. The stakes could not be higher. Herb Meyer clearly explains the game. Watch this DVD and you'll be one of the people who "get it" regarding what's going on in the world today. Bernard Lewis, the Princeton University historian, comes to mind as one of the foremost authorities on Islam's clash with modernity and its consequences. Add Herb Meyer's name to that list."
Game plan
Gregory Richards | New York, NY, USA | 09/07/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I think it was JFK who said "things don't happen; they are made to happen." This DVD is the game plan for "making" Western culture "happen." We have all benefitted from the "cultural capital" that we inherited, but we have to guard against dissipating it. The Siege of Western Civilization is the handbook everyone needs to understand where we are and make where we want to go happen."
