Movie Reviews

The story gets better
Enaam Khayat | Saudi Arabia | 11/04/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The story of Saiunkoku gets better and better. Shurrie was kidnapped and used as a bait by Enjun Sa to assassinate King Ryuuki and bring back prince Seien. Ryuuki with the help of others turns down his plan and saves Shurrie. Ryuuki finally appears and acts like a competent emperor. Shuurie finds herself of no use to him anymore and leaves the palace feeling a little bit sad, but Ryuuki leaves her dumbfounded by revealing to her that he likes women and honors her with a kiss. Time passes and Shuurie finds herself going back to work at the palace again in disguise while Ryuuki works hard to set a new rule allows women to take the official exam. Other characters appear and have wonderful roles in the story along side the main characters (Ensei who knows about Seiran's past from the Sa providence, Kijin, the eccentric, and Reishin, Shuurie's uncle.)"
A truly amazing tale!
