"
The child Stradivarius, running through the forest, became impressed by the sound of a violin someone on a ship in the middle of the river plays : that sound shall be with him for the rest of her life. The history the movie tell us pretend that this music, that very sound, is the one the famous "luthier" is looking for in his instruments all of his long life. An anecdote, indeed, but the fact is that the impressive music are some variations over les folies d'espagne, featured by Salvatore Accardo. The huge energy this music conveys lies at the very heart of the narrative line, leading us through Stradivarius' life."
