"No question, another dose of ventures in that good old town where everybody's somebody, also known as Shibuya. Y'know, I never get tired of Ran's escapades. Now, Tatsuki, that cool guy from Machida, has Ran as his own...And now in this volume, Ran falls down to earth, and for once, has Victorian-style class!? Uh-oh...can't wait to see this one.Lisa Christian (the NA voice for Ran) seems to captivate everyone in the previous two volumes, and she promises not to disappoint as the voice for The World's Greatest GAL (dullest for a time) in this volume. The VAs for Yuuya, Rei, Miyu, Mami, Tatsuki are appropriate as well. Aya's seems to act a bit deeper (the Japanese version is a bit more higher-pitched, hmmm)...The other VAs do a great job interpreting for the other characters, but Ran's voice seems to be pretty right-to-the-point among those who accurately depict them.I can't wait for December to come...that volume 3 is mine...oh yeah."
Best of the Super GALS volume yet.

"Here is one series that just keeps getting better and better. If you haven't seen any episodes yet, start with volume 1. For those of you who've already seen the first two disks in the series, I won't bother describing the story to you as it's just stuff you already know. But as for what happens here, well...Every guy in Shibuya enters a contest (except for that one snobbish guy who's rated #1 G.L.) to win Ran's affections. This involves a series of tests of both physical and mental poweress, climaxing in a building-tall wall climb. Some funny stuff. Over all an O.K. episode. There's another chapter in which a young girl from a neighboring city travels to Shibuya to learn how to be a super gal like Ran from Ran. Ran doesn't much care for the job of teacher to begin with, and it only gets worse from there. Then Ran makes friends with the star female kendo champ. Later Ran learns that the kendo girl would like to buy a nice dress but doesn't have the money or the time to earn it with kendo practice and school work, so Ran decides to get a part time job to earn enough to buy the dress. Both these episodes were cute and funny. The real gem here is the best episode in the series so far. Some may have a problem with it in that it introduces magic in a series where there was none previously, but if you can get over that it's alot of fun. It shares a simular theme to the Tom Hanks film BIG, but it's alot more like that episode of RANMA 1/2 where Ranma bonks his noggin just before transforming into a girl and wakes up thinking he really is a girl and acting ultra-girlish even when in guy form. Anyway, here Ran and her friends visit an arcade and find a machine that supposedly grants wishes. Ran thinks the wish-granting thing is alot of hokum, but her friends put their coins in and wish that Ran be polite and ladylike and be a good student. Suddenly Ran is acting sweet and demure and calling her parents,"Dearest Father" and,"Dearest Mother", promising to carry on the family tradition of police work, wearing pink dresses with bows and ribbons and coming to school on time and handing in her homework. Eventually her friends come to realize it just isn't the same Ran and they want to change her back, but then find that the wishing machine at the arcade isn't there anymore and is headed for the scrap heap!Be sure to watch this latest edition in the series. That's an iron-clad rule for...well, anyone!"
The fun continues in Shibuya

"This volume starts off with a fun filled episode where Yuya continues to try to vie for Ran's attention and heart. He joins the gang for some bowling and then ends up challenging Tatsuki, aka Machida Black, for Ran's hand. Oblivious to Yuya's feelings for her, Ran believes Yuya is just challenging Tatsuki to make sure that he's a good boyfriend for her. More fun ensues as the entire male population of Shibuya gets into the contest also to see who will be Ran's boyfriend. Running, an intelligent test, more Para Para and other wacky tests determine who will be Ran's boyfriend. Will Yuya get his day in the sun? You'll have to watch this volume to find out.
The second and fourth episodes in this volume show just how far Ran will go for a friend. Many series show you who the main characters friends are and there usually isn't any more variation. This one is unique in the fact that two more characters are introduced in these two differing episodes, and seemingly only for these episodes to show more of Ran's character traits. I thought this was some great character development and I can't wait to see more of it.
The third episode is far and away my favorite of the volume and the series for me, at least to date. At the arcade, the girls see a sticker machine which is supposed to grant you a wish if you get gold frames on your stickers. Aya and Miyu both make wishes that Ran will become a better student, never be late, study hard and be more polite, in addition to a secret wish they each also make. As it turns out, they get the golden stickers and suddenly Ran is extremely polite, courteous, studious in school and an all around debutante. As a matter of fact, she completely outdoes Mami Honda in a debutante contest, which is hilarious in itself. Will Ran revert back to her old ways? You know she has to for their to be any more to this series, but the journey is getting there is what makes the show what it it. Snatch up this volume too, you won't be sorry. I can't wait to get my hand on the 4th volume now."

"I think that this volume of the series was so far the best! It gets better when ever a new one comes out!!!!!!!!I think that this one was pretty cool that it showed how some girls can feel when they want to become a girl and they want to learn really badly. I also like that episode when Tatsuki and Yuya fight in a competition to fight for Ran. I also think that Ran was right about keeping promises in that episode on the Kendo girl!!! Super Gals is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11"
