Aloha Spirit At It's Best

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I believe that Hawaiian music is one of God's best gifts to the world. Listening to it not only creates so many beautiful images in your mind & heart, it also soothes and enriches your soul beyond belief - no matter who you are, or where you come from. This "Superstars of Hawaiian Music" DVD certainly lives up to that promise by presenting some of the best musicians ever from those beautiful islands of Paradise. Included on the DVD are several of my favorite Hawaiian artists like Amy Gilliom, Keali'i Reichel, and the Makaha Sons. The disc also includes several other lesser-known Hawaiian artists that will introduce you to their flavor of island music. The only complaint that I have of this music DVD is that it's not long enough!! But, I have the same complaint of every other Hawaiian music DVD I own! By the way, if you're into Hawaiian music as big as my girlfriend & I are, then I assume you already own Keali'i Reichel's "Kakuhi" DVD? Kukahi: Keali'i Reichel Live In Concert [Blu-ray]. If not, then order it at the same time you order this "Superstars" disc. Regarding "Kukahi" you really need to get it on Blu-Ray if possible because hearing & watching Keali'i in hi-def is beyond awesome. Anyway, if you have any affection for Hawaii at all, then it really won't matter which Hawaiian music DVD you watch. All of them will probably give you "chicken skin" as well as bring tears to your eyes. That's because the music you hear is actually the magic & spirit of Aloha coming through to your heart."
